Description:
I founded the Indian Electronica Festival as an international endeavor in 2006 - this video was shot in London at the second installment of it.
On Aug 26th, 2006 the festival hit London and was held be a stone's throw away from where the term 'Asian Underground' emerged - Talvin Singh's famous Anokha nights used to be held at the Blue Note, which was located around the corner from 333 Mother, our venue as hosted by 'Friction' - the monthly residency of BBC Radio1 and Asian Network host Bobby Friction.
We had 17 acts perform on 2 sound stages and over 600 people attended the event! The whole shebang was recorded by the BBC Asian Network for broadcast on their Friction, Electro East and Pathaan's Musical Rickshaw shows over 7 days - dubbed their 'Indian Electronica Week.'
